About climrisk.org
This website was created in 2020 to host applications related to climate change research. Its first objective was to facilitate the creation of diagrams illustrating increasing risks through so-called 'burning embers', which are visual representations created for the 3rd assessment report of the IPCC (published in 2001) and still used today.
Since November 2026, climrisk.org is a non-profit organisation under Belgian law (ASBL). Its task is to manage the development of software build and/or hosted by climrisk, taking care of the continued availability of the software and data.
